DYSRHYTHMIA INTERPRETATION (BASIC & ADVANCED) COURSES

This Dysrhythmia Interpretation Basic and Advanced Courses are a combined class in which all participants are taught in the same classroom, but are given homework and tests that are representative of their level of knowledge.

2010 DSYRHYTHMIA COURSE BROCHURE WITH REGISTRATION FORM

BASIC PROGRAM is designed for individuals needing dysrhythmia interpretation only.  These individuals may include:  EKG Techs, Tele-Monitoring Techs, LPN's or other individuals as determined by their institution.

ADVANCED PROGRAM is designed for individuals needing dysrhythmia interpretation as well as management.  These individuals include:  Critical Care RN's, Cardiology RN's, or other individuals as determined by their institution.

SUMMARY OF PROGRAM

Week 1 - Elecrophysiology of the heart and the normal ECG, sinus node dysrhythmias, dysrhythmia interpretation format

Week 2 - Atrial and junctional dysrhythmias

Week 3 - Disorders of conduction and heart blocks

Week 4 - Ventricular dysrhythmias and cardiac pacing

Week 5 - Review and practice stations
               - Cardiac arrest
               - Defibrillation and cardioversion
               - Dysrhythmia review

Week 6 - Final Exam
