Dennis Wignall

Comm. Faculty - Dennis Wignall (Teaching)Professor Wignall received his Ph.D. in Human Communication from the University of Denver and his M.A. in Communication from the University of Colorado at Denver. His B.A. is in Distributive Studies (Communication, English Literature, Photography) from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His research generally focuses on computer mediated communication. He is particularly interested in the digital divide and in online interpersonal relationships. His academic interests focus on interpersonal communication; intercultural communication; communication and technology; general semantics (speech, language, thought); conflict/negotiations and bargaining; and leadership.

Dr. Wignall advises the communication honorary society, Lambda Pi Eta. He is actively involved in student advising, particularly for Capstone Projects in the Communication and Multimedia masters degree. He is also working to develop a campus Chess Club.

Dr. Wignall regularly teaches courses in Nonverbal Communication; Communication and Technology; Language, Thought and Behavior; Interpersonal Communication; Public Speaking, and Fundamentals of Communication. He also teaches Intercultural Communication and the Capstone Course for the Communication and Multimedia masters degree.
