Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Education Programs@SVSU
SVSU offers two routes for those who already have a bachelor's degree and want to earn initial teacher certification. We offer teacher preparation programs on the main campus and our branch campuses located in Macomb County and on the campus of St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron. And the price tag? The lowest tuition of Michigan’s fifteen public universities. Admission to these programs is coordinated through the Office of Admissions & Certification in the College of Education.
If you are considering a career in teaching, we invite you to attend a Teacher Certification Seminar. These seminars are designed to explain State of Michigan certification requirements for teachers, explore those highest demand positions within education, and provide you with the background information that you will need in order to get started.
