Educational Technology (NP)

The Educational Technology endorsement prepares teachers to use technology resources for their own teaching and for their own student learning in their own classes. This endorsement also will qualify teachers in other computer-related classes for which no specific endorsement is needed such as Computer Literacy, Word Processing and Key Boarding, Computer Applications, Web Design, and Introduction to the Internet.

Saginaw Valley State University is offering these 18 credits for the endorsement at our main campus in Saginaw, our Macomb Campus, and in online and hybrid format (hybrid is part online and part face-to-face). Additionally, these 18 credits (six courses) fit into a 36 hour (12 courses) Master’s of Art in Instructional Technology. This degree is for classroom teachers who want to integrate technology into their curriculum, school administrators charged with decision-making and administration of technology, and business and government personnel involved in the development and administration of technology based training.

The Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and the Educational Technology (NP) endorsement are offered through the Educational Technology and Development Department at SVSU.
