When are application materials for the Gerstacker Fellowship accepted?
Applications are accepted annually during the month of March.
How many are accepted to the Gerstacker Fellowship each year?
The Fellowship is limited to twelve participants each year.
Can I apply or must I be nominated?
Applicants for this Fellowship must be nominated by their supervisor (Superintendent, Board of Education member, Director, etc.).
How long does the Gerstacker Fellowship last?
The Fellows will study leadership issues for eight weekends over the course of 11 months, spend a week together as a learning community cohort, and then extend their leadership skills with an international travel capstone experience.
What is the cost of the Gerstacker Fellowship?
Most expenses will be covered by the Fellowship. However, Fellows will need to pay for their own lodging on the weekends (if needed) and tuition if they choose to participate in the Fellowship for graduate credit.
