Advisory Board
The Gerstacker Fellowship for Leadership is guided by an advisory council whose members bring experience in leadership and in working with fellowships in the SVSU service area. The members are lead by the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Stephen Barbus. Other members include:
Dr. Eric Gilbertson
Dr. Gilbertson is the president of Saginaw Valley State University.
Dr. Elizabeth Hansen
Dr. Hansen is the Chair of the Educational Technology and Development Department and a Professor in the Educational Leadership & Services Department at SVSU.
Dr. Drew Hinderer
Dr. Hinderer is the Chair of the Philosophy Department at SVSU and the coordinator of the Roberts Fellows Program for the University.
Dr. James Leming
Dr. Leming is the Carl A. Gerstacker Endowed Chair in the College of Education.
Dr. Helene Lusa
Dr. Lusa is an Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership & Services and the Educational Technology and Development Departments and serves as Coordinator for the Gerstacker Fellowship for Leadership Program.
Dr. Marwan Wafaa
Dr. Wafaa is the Dean of the College of Business & Management at SVSU.
Carolyn Wierda
Ms. Wierda is the Superintendent of Bay City Public Schools.
