The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum held its annual fund-raiser Friday night under the theme "Saints, Sinners & Spatzle."

Held in the Arbury Fine Arts Center, the event featured a silent auction to raise money to fund programs at the museum with over 40 artists donating nutcracker or music box-themed pieces to auction off.

According to the museum's Curator of Education, Andrea Ondish, the hope is to raise about $15,000.

As of Friday, $11,000 had already been donated by various sponsors; however, final figures for the auction itself may not be available for several weeks.

In addition to the auction, live music, dancers, and food were also featured that fit in with the evening's overall German theme. The Linda Oehrlein dancers of Frankenmuth performed as well as the Denny Ewald Band.

The museum's new director Marilyn L. Wheaton was also on hand for the event. Wheaton, who began her new duties last Monday, spoke briefly after being introduced by President Eric R. Gilbertson.
