Community theatre starts fall season with Oz
The Pit & Balcony community theatre will be performing it's September show Crowns one last time next Monday at 3 p.m. Crowns is an all-black musical focusing on the lives of black women through the eyes of black women. On deck is The Wizard of Oz, which will begin showing at the Temple Theatre on Oct. 13. Tickets for Oz are priced at $22, and reservations must be made through Pit & Balcony.
Local metal act plays last home show
Local grindcore/metal act See You Next Tuesday will be performing their last show at the Very Awesome Garage in their hometown of Bay City this Friday. The group was recently signed to Ferret Records, a metal, punk and hardcore label home to several national touring acts, including Every Time I Die, A Life Once Lost, and In Flames. The Garage is located on 3057 Lauria Rd. in Bay City. Admission is $5.
Whose Line comes to DVD
Popular improvisational comedy show Whose Line is it Anyway? makes its debut on DVD tomorrow. Note that it's the first season of the American version of the show, so if you're a Clive Anderson fan, you'll have to live with YouTube.
Other releases include the third season of drama One Tree Hill and the fourth season of Ellen. Movies coming to DVD this week include The Lake House, Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Curious George.
