Grand Valley breaks Ashland's heart again

For the second consecutive year, the top-ranked Lakers beat the Eagles in the fourth quarter, using a 47-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Cullen Finnerty to senior Eric Fowler with five minutes left to claim a 30-24 win in Allendale. Ashland took a 10-0 lead into the second quarter only to see Grand Valley come back to take a 16-10 halftime lead.

Northwood uses big 4th quarter to top Findlay

The Timberwolves exploded for 19 points in the last stanza to top the Oilers 29-6 in Midland. After a 30-yard TD run by senior quarterback Kyle Kolbe put Northwood up 22-6, senior Joe Horn returned a Findlay punt 85 yards to put the game out of reach. Sophomore kicker Chris Kollias missed two of four extra points in the game.

Indy comes back at home against Tech

Junior Greyhounds receiver Justin Russell caught four touchdown passes, two in the fourth quarter, as Indianapolis erased two Michigan Tech leads to beat the Huskies 34-31. Tech made a late charge with a touchdown with 1:25 remaining, but were unable to recover the ensuing onside kick. The two teams combined for 734 yards of total offense.

Ferris shuts down Mercyhurst in prep for SVSU

The Bulldogs went up 28-0 before a late Lakers touchdown to win in Erie, Pa. 28-7. Junior quarterback C.J. Van Wieren rushed 13 times for 89 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown to open the scoring in the second quarter, and junior Robert Miller rushed 12 times for 142 yards and a score as Ferris piled up 406 yards of total offense.
