SA, PB election results released

Juniors Crystal Dillard and Andy Suszek were elected presidents of Program Board and Student Association, respectively, through student voting held Tuesday through Thursday.

Students voted on the presidential candidates and representatives through online voting.

Suszek, who ran unopposed, will serve his fourth year on SA.

The 21-year-old Alpena native is currently the SA speaker of the house and will take over for President Emily Hammerbacher, who is graduating.

The 19-year-old Dillard will take over for Program Board President Ashley Talley. Dillard will be serve her third year on PB.

Additionally, the 20 open representative spots were filled for SA. Eight representatives will be returning while 12 will be newcomers to the organization. The spots are elected each April.

Returning as representatives next year will be freshmen Jeanna Byers, Barb Gordon, Libby Isanhart, and Chelsea Robl, juniors Steve Lewitzke and Ashley Verner, and seniors Nick Madaj and Brittany Griffin.

Of the 12 new representatives, seven are underclassmen. Freshmen Brittany Burns, Bridget Charland, Lauren Cwik, Brittany Giordano, and Mari Pionk and sophomores Jon DiBartolomeo and Eric Read will join juniors Delia Kashat, Nick Kitchen, Tori Oxley, and Carly Toyzan.

Five freshmen and transfer students will be added in the fall semester to complete the group of representatives.
