Candidates announced for SA, Program Board spots

The Student Election Commission will be holding a "Meet the Candidates" night at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the Alumni Lounge, as the list of students running for president of both Student Association and Program Board and representatives of SA has been announced.

For the third consecutive year, only one student will be running for SA president. This year, junior Andy Suszek, currently the speaker of the house, will be running unopposed.

Three students will be running for Program Board president: Crystal Dillard, Eric Skibbe, and Tiffany Giattino.

There will be 20 SA representative spots up for election.

Ten current representatives will be running for re-election: Julie Akright, Jeanna Byers, Barb Gordon, Brittany Griffin, Ashley Isaacsen, Elizabeth "Libby" Isanhart, Stephen Lewitzke, Nicholas Madaj, Chelsea Robl, and Ashley Verner.

In addition, 17 newcomers will be seeking a representative seat: Aaron Brown, Brittany Burns, Bridget Charland, Lauren Cwik, Jonathon DiBartolomeo, Brittany Giordano, Kristina Hester, Delia Kashat, Nick Kitchen, Tori Oxley, Mari Pionk, Eric Read, Eric Skibbe, Ashley Thomas, Carly Toyzan, Jennifer Yocic, and Christopher Younk.

Voting will take place online between Tuesday, April 4 and Thursday, April 6 at voting.svsu.edu.
