Five teams off to undefeated starts in flag football league

Three teams from the "NFC" conference and two from the "AFC" conference are undefeated two weeks into this year's male flag football league. Being billed as "the biggest ever," this year's league has 21 teams.

Of the 21, five are undefeated: "Sigma Pi," "GAME," "Ram Rod," "Last one in," all 3-0, and "Cougars Paradise," at 2-0.

On the flip side, four teams are winless at 0-2: "Trurors," "T-what Bandits," "Tha Family," and "Team Marcus."

The "Cardinal Bowl," the name of this year's postseason tournament, begins Thursday, Oct. 20 with 12 games being played. All teams will make the postseason, but seedings will be determined by each team's regular season record.

'Cracker' wins soccer

The co-ed team "I'd put that on a Cracker" on this year's outdoor IM soccer tournament. The playoffs were played Friday from 12:30 until 2:30 at the intramural fields.

Kenyan Hinga named IM 'Player of the Issue'

Margaret Hinga, a native of Kairobi, Kenya, was named the Campus Recreation "Player of the Issue" after her performances in the Powderpuff flag football tournament and the co-ed softball tournament, both on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Playing in the softball finals, she went 1-3 with an RBI. Three hours later, she played on the winning Delta Sigma Pi team, which won for the the tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
