Police briefs
October 19, 2009 —
• At 2:10 a.m. Friday, October 16, a minor in possession was issued to a female student from Living Center South. The resident assistant on that floor heard loud noises from the room. Campus police was dispatched and the 18-year-old got caught with alcohol.
• On Friday, October 16, a male student from First Year Suites reported his credit card was stolen. He said the card had been used at the bookstore without his permission. Campus police watched the bookstore surveillance cameras after the report. He was caught on camera using the card and it turned out the card was never stolen. The case is still open.
• Two minor in possessions were issued Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10:20 p.m. An anonymous student called a resident assistant to report that underage drinking was going on in another room in the First Year Suites. Campus police was dispatched and two students were caught with alcohol and were given breathalyzers.
• A routine traffic stop due to equipment failure resulted in two minor in possessions on Saturday, Oct. 17. University police pulled over two students on the corner of Pierce and Fox. The officer issued breathalyzers.
