Two Delaware State students shot
Police are interviewing a "person of interest" and are still searching for another student of interest in Friday's shooting of two students at Delaware State University. The shootings took place after a group of eight to 10 students left the campus' Village Cafe between midnight and 1 a.m.
A 17-year-old male student was shot once and is hospitalized in stable condition and a 17-year-old female student was shot twice and is in serious condition, and, according to a University spokesman her injuries could potentially be life-threatening.

Applications for Student Teaching for the Fall 2008 Semester will be accepted online Nov. 1 through the 30. All students must attend one information session - which last approximately one and a half hours - to receive details about applying online, the orientation meeting and the all-day seminar dates. Information sessions are in Ott Auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 2:30 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m.; and Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m. No pre-registration is required. Special education majors student teaching in another teacher's classroom must also attend one of the meetings. Movement workshops
Saginaw Valley State University will host a workshop designed to help musicians and others move more easily and improve their performance. The series of six sessions on Body Mapping and the Alexander Technique will be held in SVSU's Rhea Miller Recital Hall Friday, Sept. 28 and Friday, Oct. 26.
Presented by Cora Enman, a professor of voice at Central Michigan University and a body mapper, the workshop is designed to promote ease and freedom of movement, whether you are singing, dancing, playing the French horn or simply typing or trying to improve your golf swing.
The workshop is free of charge.

Indian dance troupe to perform
The Indian dance troupe "Articulate Bangalore" will perform at SVSU Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall. Comprised primarily of visually challenged performers, the troupe will present a wide variety of dance forms and will be accompanied by both live and recorded music.
The event is open to the public. Admission is free of charge, but because seating is limited, faculty, staff and students are asked to telephone (989) 894-3812 to reserve a seat.
The performance is compliments of Tri-County Physicians, the Bay Medical Foundation, Bay Neurosurgery Associates and SVSU.
