FAFSA renewal deadline approaching

Submit paper FAFSA applications or renew them online as soon as possible for the 2007-2008 academic year.

The State of Michigan deadline is March 1. SVSU has no deadline, but encourages early application to ensure funds will be in place for any payment due date.

Complete FAFSA forms online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. It is possible to apply for a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov. Dependent students should have one of their parents also apply for a PIN. With PINs, parents can electronically sign FAFSA form online.

Since some need-based financial aid awarded on a first come, first served basis, it is beneficial to apply early.
