Health Services flu shots, blood drive
SVSU's Health Services is currently offering $10 flu shots to students and faculty for a limited time.
The shots will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be administered until they run out.
There will also be a two-day blood drive in the Multi-Purpose Room later this week.
The blood drive will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday.
For more information on the flu shots, this week's blood drive, or any other services, contact Health Services at 964-4271 or stop by their office in Wickes 267.
President's Open Forum
The next President's Open Forum will be held today at 6 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend to get the opportunity to speak with University President Eric R. Gilbertson.
"Inside the Music" lecture series continues
Patrick Flynn, music director of the Saginaw Symphony Orchestra, will be holding his second of three lectures this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall.
Flynn's lecture, entitled "An Overview of the Beethoven Code," will be free and open to the public.
Acclaimed singer to perform
Soprano singer Audrey Luna will be giving a vocal performance Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall.
Luna's career includes work in opera, oratorio, lieder, and contemporary music. She has performed at festivals, concert halls, and opera houses all over the world.
The event is open to the public and free of charge.
Police "ride-along" being offered
The SVSU Police Department will offer a "Ride-Along" program for faculty and staff members during the 2007 winter semester.
The program is designed to allow people to observe police operations from an internal perspective by riding with on-duty police officers.
The sessions will run between 8 a.m. and 2 a.m. seven days a week.
