According to the Common Data Set issued by the Office of Institutional Research, an undergraduate student who is a resident of Michigan can expect to pay $5,832 this year for their individual share of the total amount. The URA held an open forum in the Alumni Lounge Tuesday, Feb. 19 for students to voice their concerns. From snow plowing complaints to maintenance problems, students had no trouble finding their voice. »

Campus intruder is apprehended
University Police have reported a break in the intrusion cases that date back to the fall semester. According to officer Ryan Stockford, the police have identified a suspect of interest. The suspect was arrested in the Campus Village apartment complex by the Saginaw County sheriff. All of the past cases are still under investigation. University Police did not offer additional comment on the situation, as it is still being investigated. »
Things are looking up for students frustrated with SVSU's e-mail system, CardMail, as it will soon be replaced by a new e-mail system. »
Prompted by survey results, Dining Services plans to bring in healthier foods
Students who eat on campus, either by choice or by necessity may soon have healthier options available.
SVSU is adding new natural and organic meals to the RFoC station, Starbucks, the C-store, Einstein's Eatery, and Apple Slice. The changes come in response to dining surveys given to students once a month, which have shown an increase in demand for healthier food options. »

Although the University is best known for its College of Education and College of Nursing and Health Sciences, SVSU offers over 105 various major and minor programs, not including graduate degree programs. »
Student Association lost nearly $11,000 on the annual Valentine's Day dance last Friday.
The dance was held at the Temple Theatre and tickets, which were $20 per person and $35 per couple, included admission and dinner. According to Executive Assistant to the Student Association Nicholas Madaj, SA budgeted $6,000 for the dance. He explained that SA was prepared to lose $6,000; however, the final loss was $11,125.46, or $5,125.46 more than SA planned to lose. »
