SVSU needs a plan for severe winters

You'll rarely hear anyone complain about a snow day. Not students, not faculty, not even us. The people who plow the roads and parking lots? Yeah, they probably aren't big fans of snow days. For everyone else, it's basically a pass go, collect $200 type of situation. »

McCain win ruins Republican chance

The sheeple have spoken. In an unprecedented suicide-move, the Republican party will nominate John McCain, offering him at the election altar to be brutally picked at by the vultures of Billary Clinton or B. Hussein Obama. What awaits McCain in the general election is already set in stone: a close race and a tough loss to Clinton, or a devastating defeat by a younger, more vibrant, rock star of a politician in Obama. »

Recent alternative bands lack political awareness

I recently found out, much to my gleeful surprise, that the 1980s hardcore legends known as Bad Brains put out a full length album last summer. The album is called Build A Nation. After the initial shock I began to repeatedly ponder how in the world an epic release like that passed under my radar without my finding out. In any case, I made immediate arrangements to get a copy to listen to. »

As the presidential primaries enter the home stretch I am forced, as an active voter, to face the realities of this year's big decision. As I consider my options, research the candidates, and weigh the issues, I come to a striking conclusion - it doesn't matter. »
