Student Association's decision to hold off on voting on a resolution to boycott Wal-Mart was a good one. Although it seemed like many representatives were apprehensive towards making any kind of decision, the resolution as it stood before the House still needed some work done to it to clarify and maybe even change some things. »
The SVSU football team defeated Hillsdale 24-3 on Sept. 24. The day before, newly elected Hillsdale mayor, Michael Sessions, declared himself a write-in candidate. The day before that, Sessions turned 18. »
Like most of the people in the computer labs around campus, I usually have a Facebook page open so when I get bored, I can absentmindedly look at people's profiles. From Zoolander fans to people who love System of a Down, Facebook seems to have it all. »
When I first began attending SVSU, Science East was still under construction, the library had only two floors, the Student Center was a small parking lot and grass, the University Village was simply one row of apartments along Fox Drive, and I parked in B-Lot. There was also only one place on campus to eat: Doan Cafe. I'm sure most students on campus remember Doan Cafe (it was still around last winter), but they don't have the memories that many of us do. »

The classification of "beer pong" as a drinking game is not an accurate one. In any atmosphere where any form of alcohol is involved a structured level of organization is required. "Centralized activity games" provide this organization for both participants and spectators. When there are no "central activity games" students are more apt to drink from boredom rather than because of any other reason. Boredom and alcohol can cause a very disruptive and destructive atmosphere. »
