SVSU Finishes 3rd
in the MCHC
League Tournament
SVSU battled hard
and earned a 3rd place finish in the MCHC League Tournament last
weekend. The Cardinals took down Lansing Community College 8-4
Thursday night. Friday pitted the Cards against eventual tournament
champion Hope College. The semi final score was Hope coming out on
top 2-1. The consolation game matched up well for the Cardinals as
they defeated Calvin College 5-2 for the fifth straight game dating
back to last season.

Heading to Nationals
In only
their second season, SVSU has earned the right to play in
the National Tournament March 12-15 in Rochester, MN. SVSU
defeated Northern Kentucky University 11-5 and Lansing Community
College 5-2 in the North Region Tournament last weekend.
The Cardinals will try and fine tune their game in the MCHC
League Tournament this weekend in Midland, MI.
SVSU Receives Top Seed in
the North Regional Tournament
The
Cardinals have been given a birth as the top seed in the
ACHA Division III North Region Tournament held at the Dow
Events Center on February 15 and 16. The tournament is set
up to send the remaining two teams to the National Tournament
along with Hope College and Northwood University, who have
already received bids to the dance. Finishing the regular
season as the #3 ranked team in the North, SVSU earned the
top seed in the single elimination tournament. SVSU will
face off against the #10 seed Northern Kentucky University
at 2:30pm on Friday, February 15.

Division III North Region Tournament
North Region Tournament Site Announced; Dow Events Center
The
ACHA Division III North Region Tournament will be held at
the Dow Events Center in Saginaw, MI. The tournament will
host the regions 3rd seed through the 10th seed in a single
elimination tournament. The dates for the tournament are
February 15th and 16th. The times and teams will be released
following the final ranking period on February 3.
