Rainfall:    Erin Ledy

The tenebrous sky

                hanging

in pregnant expectancy—

   the weight of the world’s

tears suspended in

a precarious balance

Or is it joy?

- God’s grace, uncontainable

goodness

coming spilling                flooding

down

permeating the soul—

the inexplicable lifting

of filthy trammels and angst

- Peace of today; the exam of life

merely a blink

a swallow

a thought so fleeting its presence is doubted—

the time taken for liquid

sunshine to fall at 9.8 m/s2 and

shatter

on the dusty earth.
