Success in the classroom often begins in the Library with its quiet study areas, collaborative work spaces, group study rooms, computer workstations and a sixty seat computer lab. There is also research assistance (Reference Desk) and resources including books, journals and DVDs.
My Student Success Center helps students with such things as choosing a major/minor, outlining an academic plan for completing your degree, and determining your future career through interest/skill surveys.
Academic success for under-represented student populations can be enhanced through such services as assistance in improving study skills and time management, working with student success coaches, and participating in cultural awareness programs and academic workshops.
Success in the classroom often begins with help outside the classroom. The Student Counseling Center offers a range of counseling services and prevention programs that deal with such things as problems with friends, roommates or family members; depression and anxiety; sexual identity; lack of motivation or difficulty relaxing, concentrating or studying; eating disorders; sexual assault and sexual abuse recovery; and uncertainties about personal values and beliefs.
