Scholarships & Financial Aid

SVSU offers the lowest tuition of Michigan's state universities. In addition, there's financial aid, work study programs, grants, loans and scholarships based on academics, financial need, leadership, and fine arts. Competitive academic scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors, including:

  • President's Scholarship

    Covers tuition and selective mandatory fees for four years.

    • Ranked first or second in graduating class & minimum 24 ACT composite score
    • 3.7 or higher cumulative high school GPA & minimum 28 ACT composite score

  • Dean's Scholarship

    $3,000 per year for four years.

    • 3.0 or higher cumulative high school GPA
    • Minimum 24 ACT composite score

  • University Foundation Scholarship

    Covers tuition and selective mandatory fees for four courses and $1000 to apply toward study abroad or a research project, plus an enhanced educational and extra-curricular experience.

    • 3.5 or higher cumulative high school GPA & minimum 24 ACT composite score
