To showcase the talents of Michigan writers and to support creative writers of all ages in our community, the Michigan Authors’ Workshop Series will bring seven writers to Midland, Michigan, July 20-23, 2020. These writers will provide free readings and discussions with the public in the evening, and several will be teaching various writing workshops for middle school, high school, and adult writers during the day.
Our 2020 series will feature teacher/writer Penny Kittle (July 20), fiction writers Desiree Cooper and John Mauk (July 21), poet Jack Ridl and memoirist/poet Anne-Marie Oomen (July 22), and young adult writers Shutta Crum and Heather Bowman (July 23).
A complete schedule for the free evening readings and discussion, along with registration information for the writing workshops, will be available in March 2020. This workshop series is generously supported by the Friends of the Grace A. Dow Library and the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio.
