Dr. David M. Hall, holds a PhD in Business Administration, he also holds an M. S. in Educational Sociology and a B. S. in Accounting. He attended the Advanced Management Course at MIT. He is also a graduate of the USAF Squadron Officers School, the Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College. He also completed the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.   Dr. Hall has served in leadership capacities with the federal government, corporate America and with non-profits.  He is well versed in leadership.  His experience includes serving at all levels of an organization.   

 

 

 

Dr. Danilo Sirias
Ph.D., Business Administration, University of Memphis; M.S., Industrial & Systems Engineering,  University of Memphis; B.S., Industrial Engineering, National University of Engineering (Nicaragua).  Professor Sirias specializes in Theory of Constraints application to management skills, production, supply chain managment, marketing & sales.  Sirias has co-author the book "Bridging the Boomer Xer Gap," and has been published in several journals.

   

Mamie T. Thorns -  Dr. Thorns Special Assistant to the President for Diversity Programs at Saginaw Valley State University and   has over 30 years of extensive administrative experience in higher education and pre-K through 12 schools.  Currently Dr. Thorns is responsible for providing strong visible leadership and champion diversity efforts related to curriculum and co-curriculum programs.  Dr. Thorns is a native of Brandon, Mississippi and has a doctor of education from Wayne State University.  She has a Master of Arts degree from Ball State University and a bachelor’s degree from Anderson University.  Thorns are member of the Phi Delta Kappa Honor Fraternity, the American Association for Higher Education, National Alliance of Black School Educators, the National Council of Accreditation and Teacher Education and the Education Leaders Council. Thorns are also actively involved in several local community organizations (Saginaw Valley Rotary International Club, NAACP, The Bridge Center for Racial Harmony, Saginaw Community Foundation and Tri-City Chapter Links, Inc.). 

 

 
Robert J. Sobie (Ph.D., Western Michigan University) is an assistant professor of public administration within the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Dr. Sobie is also Director of Information Systems for Eaton County, Michigan.  He also works with non-profit organizations preparing strategic plans to achieve organizational visions.  He has published in the International Journal of Technology, Knowledge, and Society as well as national and regional newsprint.  His research interests include public management and innovation, the impact of technology on marginalized groups, public leadership and administrative discretion, and state and local government.
 

 

Dr. Brad Jarvis is an assistant professor of History at Saginaw Valley State University. He earned his Master’s degree in Anthropology at Michigan State University and a Doctorate in History at the University of Minnesota. His research interests focus on the relationships between Euro-Americans and Native Americans in the Great Lakes. He also teaches courses in colonial and early American History at Saginaw Valley State University. He is interested in broadening the experiencing of students by introducing them to aspects of public history, in which academic history can be made accessible to a wider audience.

 

Jim Bockelman earned his Bachelors in Communications, minor in Political Science/Public Administration at the University of Cincinnati. He has done graduate work at the University of Cincinnati, University of Maryland, and Saginaw Valley State University. Mr. Bockelman is certified in Conflict Resolution through the Saginaw ISD and certified in Human Relations by Covey Institute in Seven Habits training. He currently serves as an independent consultant, instructor, and speaker. He is also involved in political fundraising, campaign consulting for political candidates. He is an instructor in public policy, political science, as well as small business & entrepreneur development.

 

 

Pat Washburn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and History from Michigan State University. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SVSU. She holds a Masters Degree in Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. Pat has worked as an Assistant Director, Finance Manager, Program Evaluator, Employment Specialist, and Marketing Coordinator throughout her career. Pat also taught Spanish as a second language at SER – Jobs for Progress, Inc. and Bridgeport High School. She has many years of community service with the United Way, Underground Railroad, Hospice of Saginaw, and the Girl Scouts.

 

Monica Reyes is Director for Office of Continuing Ed & Professional Development at SVSU. OCEPD offers services including: Professional Development Courses, Leadership and Team Development, Customized Training and New Career Training Programs. Mrs. Reyes earned her BA and MBA from SVSU and a CBSP from Michigan State University.  Here background includes: Human Resource Management & Development, Project Development & Implementation, Organizational Development & Management, Research, Policy & Procedure Development, Budgeting & Financial Management, Benefit Coordination and Administration, Leadership & Supervisory Development, Training and Staff Development Facilitating & Coordinating, Labor Relations and Negotiations.

 

 

Mary Kowaleski- Mary holds a Bachelors of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Northwood University and a Master of Arts (M.A.)
from Saginaw Valley State University.
  She is currently employed at Saginaw Valley State University as a Grant Accountant.
