Saginaw Valley State University is proud to offer a two-part online Certificate in Paralegal Studies that will prepare you to join the legal profession in just nine months. This self-paced online program is convenient, practical, and affordable with classes beginning every other month throughout the year.

Class Details:           

Upon enrolling, students receive the following:

• Interactive, online content that is easy to manage and work through.
• One-on-one coaching with a mentor to assist students through the program and answer questions regarding the material.
• Program syllabus outlining step-by-step instructions to complete each program in 5 months or less.

The Executive Certificate in Paralegal Studies is the first portion of the program and a prerequisite for admission into the Advanced Certificate in Paralegal Studies. Each certificate is comprised of three courses and lasts six weeks, with a one week break in between each course.

The Executive Certificate courses include:

• Introduction to Legal Studies & Ethics
• Legal Research and Writing
• Civil Litigation

The Advanced Certificate in Paralegal Studies is the final step in completing your education program. The Advanced Certificate courses include:

• Torts
• Contracts
• Wills, Trusts, Estates and Probate
