Management Certificate
The new SVSU Health Care Professional’s Management Certificate is designed to develop leaders who have the confidence and skills to improve the quality of the healthcare work environment. Our program assists leaders in the health care industry with the skills they need to ensure that their organizations are guided accurately and effectively. Our program offers tools and concepts for handling challenges that arise in health care organizations and better assist leaders in creating a healing environment for both providers and consumers of health care.
The role of the manager is essential in all types of health care organizations. Effective development of this role is critical to the quality of patient care, the satisfaction of patients with their care, the financial success of the organization, and the satisfaction of staff and management in their work.
At the end of this program, minimal competency will be achieved in the following areas:

a. About SVSU CERN: Saginaw Valley State University CERN is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Michigan Nurses Association, and is approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
b. In order to receive contact hours, participants must be present for the entire session.
c. Cost per contact hour payable to SVSU-CERN. Sign up first day of class.

REFUND POLICY: Cancellations made two weeks prior to the date of the class are fully refundable. Individuals who are unable to attend and do not cancel at least two weeks prior to the start of the program will be charged the full program fee. Individual registrants may be substituted for the same course at the next offering if arrangements are made within one week prior to the first class. Students registering for the full program ( A-Y) must drop program two weeks prior to the start of the first class. There is no refund after the start of the series you may however, substitute another student from the same organization replace you.
