Attention Builders and Contractors! Cost is $750 for all 60 hours and includes the current Residential Code book and three other text books. |
Effective June 1, 2008 a new law for the builder’s license exam took effect. It states that before you can take the Residential Builders or Maintenance and Alteration Contractor exam you have to complete 60 hours of approved education. And this cannot be just any education that pertains to building. These courses must be approved by the Department of Labor and Economic Growth. We have The Builders License Training Institute program that has been approved to provide this training. The course has the complete 60 hour program starting in May, 2009. The courses are held Monday through Thursday for two weeks from 9 am to 4:30 pm. The cost is $750 and includes four great books, plus a copy of the CFR Safety Codes: Current Michigan Residential Code Book, Carpentry and Building Construction Book, Profit from Building Green, and The Remodeler’s Marketing PowerPak.Once you complete our 60-hour program, you will be prepared to take and PASS the state exam.
