A Global Business Academy Workshop
It goes without saying that globalization is a fact of life. Knowing how to navigate a company through the complexities of international business is no longer an optional skill – it is a necessity. To stay competitive in the global economy Mid Michigan area businesses now need to develop expertise in four key areas:
– Global Business Management
– Global Marketing
– Global Supply Chain Management
– Trade Finance
Workshop Overview
This Workshop will provide an introduction and overview of global business. Particular emphasis will be on how area businesses can gain a competitive advantage by securing a Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) credential. The CGBP is based on the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional Certification (see: www.nasbitecgbplorg). This credential distinguishes holders as true experts in global business.
Workshop Presenter
The Workshop will be conducted by Dr. George Puia, Dow Chemical Company Centennial Chair in Global Business, College of Business and Management, SVSU. Dr. Puia holds a Certified Global Business Professional Certification and has extensive private-sector expertise in global business management. He currently specializes in strategic planning and business internationalization.
Each workshop attendee will receive a copy of the Dictionary of International Trade (8th Edition).
