An interdisciplinary minor in gerontology is available by completing 18 hours, including three credits of supervised field work and a minimum of three hours in four of the seven following areas: psychology, social work, sociology, business, education, nursing, or biology. (Specific courses in each area will be designated by the Gerontology Committee.) Courses may not be double counted for other major or minor requirements. Students interested in the gerontology minor should apply to the Gerontology Committee, as each student'ss course of study must be approved by that committee. Contact the Dean of the College of Arts an Behavioral Sciences for further information on the procedure for applying for a gerontology minor.
