Sam is the perfect person to speak with if you ever want to know how an education from Saginaw Valley State University can positively impact your life.  As an accomplished student and All-State track star at Romulus High School, Sam's propensity to run fast, jump high, and study hard landed him a track scholarship at SVSU.  His achievements did not stop once he enrolled at SVSU, however, as he would go on to graduate with his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Business in 2010.  At the same time, Sam would make history, both at SVSU and in the GLIAC Conference, by setting a new record in the Indoor 60m hurdles event.  He now is giving back to the Cardinals track team by serving as a Volunteer Assistant Coach in his spare time.  Sam also has continued to strengthen his educational aptitude here at SVSU by recently completing his Master's Degree in Business Administration in May 2012.

While attending classes as an undergraduate, Sam began to build his legacy as an SVSU employee by securing a position with Campus Recreation as the Fitness Center Manager and Intramural Coordinator for three years.  His great success with Campus Recreation rested on his natural ability to plan events strategically while also building SVSU's brand recognition.  Proving that he was dedicated to achieving professional success, Sam also performed an Internship with Chrysler Group, LLC in their Inventory Control Department from 2007-2010.  One of his major accomplishments while at Chrysler was overseeing the implementation of a new revenue generating line of business with dealerships.

Upon obtaining his Bachelor's Degree, Sam moved to the Career Services department where he has served as an Assistant Director for the past two years.  He continues to fully ingratiate himself within the campus community by serving as the Faculty Advisor for both the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity as well as the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.  Sam is also a founding member of the SVSU African-American Alumni Chapter that continues to grow in membership.  He is currently an active member of the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce, the Saginaw Young Professionals' Network, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra.  Sam's natural charisma and magnetic personality has also helped Saginaw Valley State University develop relationships with many of Michigan's top companies, which has led to a significant increase in the number of internships and job opportunities that are made available to campus community.  His genuine concern for the future success of students/alumni continues to make him a popular member of the Career Services team.
