Marketing Yourself on the Telephone
Regardless of whether you are a confident speaker on the telephone or not, you should plan ahead. Before making your call go over what you will say and try and prepare for all possible outcomes. It may help to write down on paper what you want to say.
- Start by saying who you are and why you are calling
- Attempt to arrange a meeting time/place or at least find out information.
- Always thank them for talking to you.
