Produced by the students and faculty of Saginaw Valley State University, Cardinal Sins features art, photography, poetry and prose by SVSU students, faculty, staff and alumni. All submissions are considered for publication. Selection is made by blind voting of the editorial staff. Members of the editorial staff are excluded from receiving an award in any category.

About Us

Cardinal Sins, the arts and literature magazine of SVSU, is now in its 27th year. With improvements in technology, it has evolved into an award-winning publication. The Fall 2005 issue received a First Place with Special Merit Award from the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA), and in the same year, Cardinal Sins was selected as SVSU's Most Improved Student Organization. In 2007, the magazine won another First Place Award from the ASPA.
