10.5 miles of exciting whitewater rapids with 20 Class II-IV rapids on the Lower New River; one of West Virginia most popular rafting trips. Experience the wild coal town history and gorgeous views with two nights of camping in the New River Gorge.

Instructions
If you are driving, please park in R lot, we have overnight parking passes for that lot if needed. Just let us know when you get here and we will provide you a pass. (See campus map in link #2 for directions). Once you are in R lot, make your way to the Campus Recreation Center entrance and bring all of your gear in at this time.

April 20
Depart campus from the Campus Recreation Center and travel to Minden, WV
Lodging at ACE Adventure
April 21
White Water Rafting
April 22
Depart from ACE Adventure and travel back to campus

Food and Beverage:
April 20
Lunch: Rest stop on the road to various restaurants (your own expense)
Dinner: Hot dogs (traditional, turkey, vegetarian on request), brats, chips, pasta salad, veggie tray, cookies, and water
April 21
*All food on Saturday will be provided by ACE Adventure
Breakfast:  made-to-order eggs, pancakes or French toast, apple-smoked bacon, sausage, home-fried potatoes, pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee
Lunch: River Side Barbeque
Dinner: Buffet style fresh local-raised Angus beef, pork, poultry and fish/seafood options, chilled salad bar with fresh veggies, greens, dressings, garnishes, cheese and various savory salads. An ice cream bar, and several seasonal homemade sweets like ice cream with fruit crisp, berry cobbler, apple pie, cakes and other yummy temptations.

April 22
Breakfast: Assorted granola bars, apples, and bananas
Lunch: Rest stop on the road to various restaurants (your own expense)

Please bring a refillable water bottle (min. 32 oz) to use.  Please feel free to bring any snacks or other items you wish. If you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, please let us know at registration in order to make accommodations.

Suggested items to bring:
Pillow, blankets, warm clothes, sleeping bag, closed toe shoes, camera, snacks, water bottle, bug spray, miscellaneous spending money
Tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads can be rented from Campus Recreation.

For rafting: clothes you do not mind getting wet, old shoes, change of clothes, dry shoes. Whatever you bring on the river WILL get wet! Do not take anything on the river that you do not want to lose!
