                                             Wayne St. Defeats SVSU

University Center, Mich.- Wayne State University knocked off the Cardinals, 8-1 on Saturday (Oct. 12) at the SVSU tennis courts. The loss drops the Cardinals record to 4-6 on the season, while the Warriors improve to 7-6 overall and 5-6 in the GLIAC.
    SVSU dropped two of three in doubles play, but the tandem of Samantha Dodson (Frankenmuth, Mich.) and Nikki Schwarz (Battle Creek, Mich.) won for the
second-straight day, winning 8-2 at the second flight.
    In singles action, Wayne St. swept the Cardinals, winning all six flights. Dodson came the closest, losing 7-5, 0-6, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
    SVSU will be in action on Sunday (Oct. 13) at 10 a.m. when the Cardinals host the University of Findlay at the Midland Community Tennis Center.
