Women's Tennis
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.-The Lady Cardinals tennis team
suffered their first loss of the season today, (Sept. 8) at the hands
of Northern Michigan University. It was a tough outing for the Cards,
as they fell to NMU 9-0. At first singles Nikki Schwarz (Battle
Creek, Mich/Harper Creek HS) suffered her first loss of the season
(7-6, 6-2), as did Cassie Jestreberski (Fraser, Mich)
(6-0, 7-5) at sixth singles.
The loss drops SVSU's overall season record
to 2-1. The Cardinals return to action on Friday, (Sept. 13) when
they play host to Northwood University. Match time is set for 2:00pm.
