                                         Cardinals Fall at Mercyhurst

ERIE, Pa. - The Saginaw Valley State University Tennis team fell to Mercyhurst College on Friday (Sept. 20) in GLIAC play. SVSU dropped all three points in doubles play, and managed just two wins in singles action.
    Brooke Kennedy (Walled Lake, Mich./Western HS) moved up to fourth singles and defeated Mercyhurst's Joanna Olmstead 6-4, 6-2. In the sixth singles position, Cassie Jastrzebski (Fraser, Mich.) topped Lauren Dujanovich 7-6, 6-0.
    The loss drops SVSU to 2-3 on the year, while Mercyhurst improves to 6-2 on the year. The Cardinals return to action Saturday, September 21 when they play at Ashland University. Match time is set for 10:00am.
