SVSU Beats Ashland 8-1

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.-The Lady Cardinals tennis team defeated Ashland University by a score of 8-1. All of Saginaw Valley’s singles players won their matches. Nikki Schwarz (Battle Creek, Mich./Harper Creek HS) picked up a victory at first singles 6-1, 6-1 against Gina Sprague. Andrea Prociv (Jackson, Mich./Lumen Christi HS) defeated Michelle Maxwell 6-2, 6-0 at the number two singles. SVSU took all six points in singles competition and two of the three points in doubles.
       The victory ups SVSU’s record to 2-3 on the year. The Cardinals return to action on Friday, (October 4) when they host to Grand Valley. Match time is set for 2:00pm.
