SVSU Falls in Florida

FT. MYERS, FL– Saginaw Valley State University fell to Florida Gulf Coast University by the score of 6-3 Tuesday.
     Singles winners for SVSU were freshman Samantha Dodson (Frankenmuth), who beat Laura Wesch at No. 5 by the scores 6-2 and 6-0; and freshman Allison Lamanna (Sterling Heights/Henry Ford) over Denise Burkle at No. 6 by scores of 6-2, 6-1. This was Lamanna's first ever match for SVSU.
     Lamanna teamed with senior Heidi Yeagley (Flushing) for a No. 3 doubles win over Wesch-Burkle by an 8-5 score.
     SVSU is 5-8 overall and will meet the University of Tampa, FL on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
