SVSU Women Notch First Win

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The lady Cardinal soccer team notched its first win of the season on Sunday (Sept 15) against Salem International 2-0 as they got both their offense and defense going. SVSU blasted 31 shots, 15 of which were on goal. Junior Erin Szarolota (Lake Orion, Mich.) and Freshman Amber Brick (Midland, Mich) each netted a goal in the victory. Brick also managed to fire 6 shots off. The defense played tough all day allowing just one shot on goal.
    With the win SVSU moves to 1-4 on the season and Salem International falls to 1-4. The Cardinals play next on Saturday September 21 at Siena Heights.
