SVSU Falls to Northern Michigan

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Northern Michigan on Sunday (November 3).
SVSU's Kristie King (Lake Orion, Mich.) opened the scoring during the first half on a goal assisted by Amber Brick (Midland, Mich.) and Katie Terry (Utica, Mich./Stevenson HS). King's goal was the only offense the Cardinals could find, however, as they only managed seven shots on goal. Northern Michigan tied the game with an unassisted goal from Rachel Vilders during the first half. The Wildcats put the game away during the second half when Michelle Gillespie scored another unassisted goal. Times for the goals were unavailable.
The loss drops SVSU to 2-13-1 (0-6-1 GLIAC), while Northern Michigan moves to 5-13 (2-5 GLIAC). The Cardinals finish their season on Saturday (November 9) with a home game against Hillsdale College at 12:00p.m.
