Cardinals Announce Signing of Two Prep Cagers

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University women's basketball coach Yvonne Killmer announced the signing of two high school athletes to National Letters of Intent in the early signing period for prep-to-college athletes.
Tricia Everett, a 5' 4" guard from Saginaw, Mich. (Swan Valley High School), and Brittany Collins, a 5' 0" guard from Detroit, Mich. (Renaissance High School), each signed on the dotted line to compete on the hardwood for the Cardinals beginning with the 2005-06 season.
Everett was recently named to the Tri-Valley Conference West Division First Team for the 2004-05 season.
"Both of these young women will be welcome additions to our team next season," noted Killmer. "It is great to add student-athletes of this caliber to our program and we will be looking for big things out of Tricia and Brittany."
The early signing period began November 10 and concluded November 17. The Cardinals will have another opportunity to sign prep athletes in the late signing period, which goes from April 13, 2005 to May 18, 2005.
