Fall to Northern Michigan, 86-66
MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State
University women’s basketball team suffered an 86-66 loss
to Northern Michigan on Saturday (Feb. 8), despite career-best
performances from Elicia Kinner (Pellston,
Mich.) and Nicole Pfenninger (Bay City,
Mich./Western HS).
Kinner finished with a career-high 25 points
on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor, including 5-of-5 from three-point
range. Pfenninger tallied a personal best 16 points, including
12-of-13 from the free-throw line.
Jessica Nohl led the Wildcats with 19 points.
Emily Samuelson added 17 points while Tiffany Grubaugh chipped
in with eleven for NMU.
The Cardinals fall to 4-18 (0-14 GLIAC) on the
season while Northern Michigan improves to 14-6 (10-3 GLIAC).
The Cardinals travel to Allendale, Mich. on Thursday (Feb. 13),
for a 6:00p.m. contest with the Grand Valley State University
Lakers.
