Johnson and Williams Named to All-Tournament Team

Grand Rapids, Mich –  Junior Erin Johnson (Saginaw/Heritage) and senior Kathryn Williams (Detroit/Martin Luther King) were named to the 2001 Grand Rapids Press All-Tournament team this past weekend.  The duo helped the Cardinals past Aquinas on Friday and into the championship game on Saturday, where Tourney MVP Julie Vogelzang lifted Cornerstone to a 71-66 victory.
     Johnson poured-in 13 points against Aquinas and finished the tournament with 16 points and eight rebounds.   Williams tallied 32 points on the weekend, including hauling down 13 boards.
     The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, December 1 at Wayne State in their conference opener.
