Cardinals Fall to Timberwolves

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.- The Lady Cardinals got behind early, and were unable to get back in the rest of the ballgame as they suffered their 11th loss of the season at the hands of Northwood University, 76-59. Bridgett Lamar (Ypsilanti) paced the Cardinals with 13 points, and Erin Johnson (Saginaw/Heritage) was close behind with 12.
  
  The Timberwolves roared out to a 40-19 lead at halftime and never looked back. The Lady Cardinals managed to shoot only 38% from the floor, and committed 20 turnovers as the Timberwolves defense locked down on them.
     Leah Douglas had a game high 24 points and Nicole Van Duyn pitched-in 21 points and 9 rebounds for the Timberwolves.
     SVSU falls to 8-11 overall (2-9 GLIAC), while Northwood climbs to 6-13 overall, (2-10 GLIAC). The Cardinals host Lake Superior State University on Saturday (Febuary 2) at 1:00 P.M.
