The SVSU volleyball team finished off their two-day road trip in Erie, Penn., with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-23, 30-22) win at Gannon Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals were erratic in the opening game, committing 10 errors to counter their 21 kills on their way to hitting .212 for the game. Gannon, however, hit just .138 for the game as the Cardinals won 30-22.

SVSU found their stride in the second game, hitting .500 for the game and committing just three errors against 19 kills. The third game proved more of the same, as the Cardinals committed just one error and hit .483.

Three Cardinals reached double figures in kills, led by sophomore Jaclyn Carnago (St. Clair, Mich.) and senior Danielle Dryer (Clinton Twp., Mich./Chippewa Valley) with 12 kills apiece. Junior Sarah Redoute (Clinton Twp., Mich./L’Anse Creuse) added 11 kills, while junior Carmen Schacher (Flint, Mich./Kearsley) and sophomore Alex Hamm (Royal Oak, Mich./Dondero) led the team with nine and seven kills respectively.
