Women's Volleyball Head Coach
Will Stanton wstanto(at)svsu.edu (989) 964-7023 | Will Stanton just finished his fifth season at the helm of Cardinal volleyball. One season after getting the Cardinals above .500 in 2006 for the first time in eight years, Stanton was named GLIAC Coach of the Year in 2007 for guiding the Cardinals to their third best regular season record ever at 20-12, along with their just their second ever birth in the GLIAC Conference Tournament. Stanton served as head coach at Mott Community College for four years prior to SVSU, where he led the Bears to a 116-90 record, including a 40-22 conference mark. The Bears finished in the top four in the MCCAA every year during his tenure as coach. From 1993-2001 he was the head coach at Lake Fenton high school where he guided the team to the 1998 Michigan Class C state championship after finishing runner-up in 1997. Following the 1998 season he was named the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Coach of the Year. Stanton never had a losing season as a head coach at the high school or junior college level. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Business from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. |
