Hope Hoffer

Hope Hoffer joins the Cardinal volleyball staff as First Assistant for the 2001 season. She brings eight years of coaching and playing experience to the Cardinals. She spent one year as an assistant at Spring Arbor before joining the staff at SVSU.

"It was fate running into Hope and Marc at an AAU tournament," says head coach Bob Sells. "Adding Hope to our coaching staff will be a big boost for our athletes, since she has been in a national level program."

Hoffer played for Spring Arbor University and helped lead the team to the NCCAA National Championship. As a college setter and right side hitter, she will bring a great deal of knowledge into the program. Hoffer also played competitively on the Michigan Jose Cuervo Tournament circuit.

Hoffer earned a degree in elementary education from Spring Arbor in 1995 and is currently employed with the Mosaica Academy of Bay City.

Originally from Dorr, Mich., Hoffer graduated from Wayland Union High School where she competed in volleyball. Hoffer and her husband, Marc, reside in Saginaw.
