Cardinals
Announce Newest Members to Volleyball Team
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Lady Cardinals Volleyball coach
Will Stanton is pleased to announce the newest members to the
team. There will be five freshmen coming to the team for the upcoming
season.Outside hitter Sarah Redoute (Harrison
Twp., Mich./L'Anse Creuse HS), middle hitters Megan Brundle
(Grand Blanc, Mich.) and Stacy Englehart
(Ellsworth, Mich.), libero Kelsey Rabish (Walled
Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Central HS), and defensive specialist/libero
Carmen Schacher (Flint, Mich./Kearsley HS)
will all be joining the team in the fall.
Redoute was voted to the Class
A All-State team as a junior and a senior, as well as being named
First Team All-State as a senior. As a prep Brundle was a three
year varsity player who was voted most valuable player two times
in high school. She was an All-Region player as a junior and a
senior. Englehart was a two-sport athlete in high school, competing
in both volleyball and basketball. She was a First-Team All-Conference
and All-Region in both sports as a junior and senior. She was
also voted Athlete of the Week as a senior, and recorded the most
rebounds for her basketball team as a freshmen.
Rabish was a two sport athlete
as well, playing volleyball and soccer. She lead her volleyball
team to the district championship title three times and was an
All-Region and All-District selection. Rabish also was a member
of the honor roll all four years in high school. Schacher competed
in both volleyball and tennis as a prep, and was voted MVP of
both teams as a senior. She was an All-Conference selection in
both sports and also made the All-Region team in volleyball. Schacher
was a four year honor roll student and also a member of the National
Honor Society.
