CARDS DROP GLIAC FINALE, 3-0, TO NORTHWOOD

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State Cardinals dropped a 3-0 decision to #20 Northwood on Friday night from the Cardinal Gym. The Timberwolves used timely serving and powerful attacks to build a quick advantage in all three games as Saginaw Valley State falls to 0-18 in the GLIAC. Gorana Maricic led all players with 12 kills and hit .556 for the match. Senior Megan Pendleton (Belding, Mich.) and freshman Danielle Dryer (Clinton Twp., Mich./Chippewa Valley) each led SVSU with seven kills. The Cards hit .133 for the match and the T-Wolves hit .393, including .536 in game two. The scores were 30-21, 30-17, 30-22. Freshman Jessica Conley (St. Johns, Mich.) tallied 20 assists, four digs and three kills. The Cards finish the 2004 season at home tomorrow against Madonna University at 1:00 pm.
